Description
Her art is raw, instinctive, emotional and colorful.
A self-taught artist, Amina breaks away from traditional codes in favor of a pure, unconstrained form of expression, free from any dogma.
Biography
Born into a dysfunctional yet extravagant family, Amina was placed at the age of six in a Christian and “no-global” foster family.
An environment not particularly favorable to art, but highly encouraging of studies — leading her to climb the social ladder, until one day she realized she would have preferred working in a bar to sitting eight hours a day in an office.
In September 2021, she founded AMK, now a non-profit collective of seven founding members — all women artists of foreign origin, aged between 20 and 50 — and several artistic and multidisciplinary collaborations.
A lover of flowers and an avid sports enthusiast, Amina continues to develop a practice that is free-spirited, vibrant, and deeply human.
