Description
My work belongs to the contemporary neo-figurative movement.
I draw on the visible world to reveal the unusual within the familiar, the depth beneath the surface, and the being behind appearance.
I aim to provoke both wonder and reflection.
I focus on the marks of human experience — the dignity of workplaces and the hidden beauty within ordinary scenes.
My paintings invite viewers to look where they would not normally look, to discover meaning, humour, or secret harmony.
Through a sensitive gaze, I seek the density of life and the visual poetry born of light and shadow, colour proximity, and rhythms of line and form.
Recently, I created a series of identity still lifes, My portrait in my objects, exploring intimacy and material texture through close-up compositions.
Biography
After a professional career in the medical field, I discovered oil painting, marking the beginning of my artistic journey.
