My artistic approach is rooted in a desire for transmission, memory, and emotion. Self-taught, I photograph what moves me: glances, simple gestures, inhabited silences. My work explores intimacy, the connection to origins, to the land, and to history.
Each image is, for me, a way to tell what is disappearing and to make the emotion of a fleeting moment resonate through time.
Biography
“A Silence That Bursts into Image” is an intimate and committed photographic series born from a deep quest for identity. Adopted in Belgium at the age of three, I kept my Romanian origins at a distance for a long time. Through this project, I retrace the paths of my own story, my roots, and the Romania I have learned to love.
My images capture everyday gestures, faces marked by time, and landscapes imbued with memory. It is a work on resilience, transmission, and reconciliation with oneself.
