Description

Living the connected world.

  1. “Turning in Circles” is a modular installation composed of several elements, depending on the available space. The pieces consist of crocheted “smartphones” made of colorful yarn, integrated into either inverted umbrellas or light reflectors (Ø 120 cm).

The crochet stitch recalls the pixelated texture of digital images, while the yarn evokes the emotional comfort associated with smartphone use. The inverted umbrellas become receptacles for rain, and the light reflectors symbolize both the magnetic pull of screens and the image of a celestial body.

Each piece is placed on a motorized base (USB-charged) that spins continuously, suggesting an endless cycle. The installation can be presented as separate pieces or as a combined set of umbrellas and/or reflectors (link 1).

  1. “Good News” brings together five newspaper articles dated February 10–16, 2025, framed with tablet screens. They are connected by a single line drawn across their surfaces (link 2).
