Description

Eddy Vivier Murangwa rejects pictorial catharsis and refuses any deeper interpretation of his paintings, which are both virtuosic and intense.
He simply shows how, inspired by dream, the world can also be perceived differently.
Even from the last piece of wood found by the roadside, he manages to extract a touch of poetry.
A few gestures – with a simple visual language – are enough to draw the viewer into a hallucinatory sphere.
With ease, he evokes entire worlds through subtle ink strokes, optical illusions, and a few figures.
