Description

Paper pulp becomes the starting point of a sensory journey — a play between lightness and weight, transparency and opacity — like the skies I watch from my window.
Clouds pierced by light, views filtered through fences or foliage, form a world of light, color, shapes, and present magic.

But it is also a world of tension, born from the diversity of colored fibers, the engravings embedded within the paper material — where every element finds its rightful place.

Biography

My first steps in the visual arts began in 1974, in Chile, at the School of Fine Arts.
Since 1978, I have lived in Belgium, where I studied engraving and screen printing at École 75, and later, from 1992, engraving and cabinetmaking at the Académie Constantin Meunier.

In recent years, my work has evolved between furniture design, wood engraving, and handmade paper creation.
I seek to reveal a rhythm of colors, shapes, and materials, inspired by the grain of the wood — a natural line that guides and nourishes my creative process.
