Description

I photograph Brussels from top to bottom.

Biography

Eric Ostermann is a self-taught photographer from Ixelles. His passion for photography began during his boarding school years, where he first experimented with darkroom work. In 2004, with the birth of his first daughter, he rediscovered photography and gradually refined his technique and artistic vision through various platforms and social networks.

Eric is committed to revealing Brussels from a fresh perspective, inviting viewers to rediscover familiar places often overlooked in daily life. His three main focuses are street photography, reflections, and rooftop views.

Being high above the city brings him a sense of calm and serenity that contrasts with Brussels’ urban bustle. These moments allow him to absorb his surroundings and capture their essence.

Watching the sunset and seeing the city light up from above is a true joy — one he enjoys sharing even more through his photographs. On weekends, he roams the streets of Brussels in search of details, reflections, and spontaneous scenes.

Reflections captured in puddles, fountains, and ponds inspire intricate compositions — often invisible at first glance. Kneeling down to capture the perfect reflection has become a quest that leads to images both poetic and unexpected.
