Biography

Born in 1976 in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, this visual artist has created numerous paintings and sculptures depicting the traditional daily activities of African women.

She defines herself as an archivist of Africa’s social and cultural memory, preserving and reinterpreting it through her art.
Her diverse body of work blends realism and expressionism, revealing both sensitivity and strength.

Since 2000, she has taken part in more than 240 solo and group exhibitions around the world.
In 2012, she received the Grand Prize for Arts and Letters from the President of the Republic of the Congo, and in 2013, she was named Officer of Congolese Devotion.

She currently works between her studios in Brussels and Brazzaville.
