Description
What Goes Around is a unique event at the crossroads of several artistic disciplines. A work of art using different techniques in a crescendo of effects, from rotoscoping to traditional animation. The project represents one of the strongest expressions of the artistic partnership between street artist Alice Pasquini and disc jockey, beatmaker and rapper Dj Gruff.
Alice Pasquini and Rocco Venanzi created the animation from video footage shot by photographer Jessica Stewart during the creation of a mural painted by Alice inside the Zero Stress Academy in Moncalieri (Italy), the breakdance and scratch school founded by Dj Gruff. The aim of the video was to preserve the spontaneous atmosphere in which the mural was painted. DJ Gruff, who hosts the show live, conceived the music and developed the design and sound effects.
